Yi Zhao is Vice President of
Futurewei Technologies Inc., the North America subsidiary of
Huawei Technologies, China’s largest telecommunication network equipment provider. He was the first local executive appointed by
Huawei in 1999 to establish the company’s North American business unit and has since then managed and overseen
Huawei’s successful business expansion into the North American market.
Dr. Zhao has more than twenty years experience working in various technical and managerial positions with university research institutes and major corporations such as
Hewlett Packard and
Ericsson. As head of
Futurewei Technologies, he is in charge of R&D, sales and marketing functions as well as the company’s public relations in North American.
A very active leader of business community with broad business network connections, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the
DFW Asian American Citizens Council, an Asian business advisor for the
Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce (GDCC), and advisor to the Computer Science Department in the University of Texas at Dallas. He served as President of CIE/USA-DFW in 2000 and the Chairman of the Board of CIE/USA-DFW in 2001. He helped organized the GDCC’s first-ever trade mission to China. Dr. Zhao is frequent guest speaker and panelist to various business forums in US and China.
He has a BSCS and an MSCS from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a Ph.D. in computer science from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Barry was known for his success in high tech start-up. He was the CEO and the founder of
MultiMedia Development (MMD) Corporation which was acquired by
Efficient Networks, Inc. in September 2000. As a corporate executive of
Efficient Networks and a major company share holder, he played a critical role in the process of
Efficient Networks’ acquisition by
Siemens in a $1.5 Billion deal in April 2001.
Barry has many years of in-depth technical and business experiences in the field of wireless and telecommunications. His current venture,
IPhone4Less is a privately owned start-up focusing on Internet telephony and security.

A former
Lucent Technologies Vice President, Nathan is the CEO, President and co-founder of
Emergent Network Solution. Under his management, the company has been profitable from the time it is founded in December 2001; a very impressive CEO record in a time when the entire telecom industry was suffering massive downturn.
Nathan’s expertise in high-tech start-up can be traced back to 1996. His very first start-up venture was
InterCall, a telecommunications consulting firm which he founded along with his business partner Jonathan Wang. Together they succeeded in growing the firm into a multi-million dollar business.
InterCall was later acquired in 1999 by
Excel Switching.
Nathan holds both his BS and MSEE degree from Texas A&M University.
Jonathan Wang, CTO, Emergent Network Solutions Inc.
A former
Lucent Technologies R&D director, Jonathan has spend most part of his career working with high tech start-up. His ability to identify industry niches and to manage R&D team to develop products for these niches has contributed critically to the success of the start-ups he co-founded.
In first starting up
InterCall, then
Emergent Network Solution, Jonathan has forged a remarkably successful business partnership with Nathan. Their cooperation has span almost a decade and continued to this day.
Jonathan graduated from University of Texas in Arlington. He holds a MSEE degree in Computer Science.
Dr. Robert D, Brown, MD, FACEP, Founder and Former President of QuestCare Inc.
A physician-turned-business-man, Dr. Brown was the founder and president of a very successful medical practice service company
QuestCare from 1997 to 2005.
QuestCare provides clinical, administrative and financial management of emergency service to a nine hospital system seeing over 350,000 patients annually.
QuestCare employs about 140 physicians. In Feb 2005, the company was sold to 51 of its full-time employed physicians.
Dr. Brown has long been a business leader in medical practice community. Among his many leadership roles in business, he is President/Chief of Medical Staff, Executive Committee Member and Board of Trustee member with
Medical Center of Plano.
Dr. Brown is a fellow member of
American College of Emergency Physicians. He is a certified physician by
American Board of Emergency Medicine since 1986.
