Pre-paid appointment types can be defined for services that require a payment
from your patient (customer) while they make a web appointment.
When a patient makes an appointment that requires a payment, the web appointment function will reserve the appointment slot for the patient (customer) by setting a pending status on the appointment.
It will then direct the patient (customer) to PayPal to make the required payment to your PayPal account. Once the payment is made, PayPal will update the appointment status from pending to paid. All unpaid pending appointments will be deleted automatically around mid night US central time so that these time slots can become available to other patients or customers.
To add pre-paid appointment service to your account, you need to:
1) Save your PayPal account email address on your account profile (Account –> Account Profile page).
2) In Account –> Appt Profile page, add a new service appointment profile that requires payment. Define a non-zero payment amount and choose your preferred currency type. Only non-zero payment amount profile will be treated as pre-paid service.
Note that pre-paid appointment will not be available to patients (customers) who make self-service appointment by phone. In addition, any pre-paid appointment, when added from a doctor’s (scheduler owner) account, will be saved without payment requirement (i.e., a doctor can add a pre-paid appointment for his patient without payment from patient).
